Help Us Bring a Safe Haven Baby Box to Jasper County!

Every baby deserves a chance. Every parent deserves a safe option.
The Open Arms Foundation is committed to supporting vulnerable children and families in crisis across Jasper County. As part of our mission to protect life and provide compassionate alternatives for parents in desperate situations, we are launching a fundraising campaign to install a Safe Haven Baby Box right here in our community.
What is a Safe Haven Baby Box?
A Safe Haven Baby Box is a secure, temperature-controlled safety device installed at a designated location (usually a fire station or hospital), allowing a parent in crisis to legally, safely, and anonymously surrender their newborn, no questions asked. These boxes are monitored 24/7 and connected directly to first responders, ensuring immediate care for the infant.
Why Does Jasper County Need One?
In recent months, our county has seen the closure of local labor and delivery services, leaving some mothers with fewer options and increased barriers to prenatal and postnatal care. While the need for a Safe Haven Baby Box is not directly caused by this gap, it highlights a broader concern - that when support and access are limited, crisis decisions become more likely.
We believe no parent should feel abandoned, and no child should be left unsafe. A Safe Haven Baby Box offers one more layer of protection for newborns and peace of mind for mothers who feel they have no other choice.
Our Goal: $30,000
This amount will fully fund the purchase, installation, and ongoing maintenance of a Safe Haven Baby Box in Jasper County, including:
